The Way Of Making Glass

Firstly, the powder of materials which are sand (usually silica), soda, and limestone are melted and heated in a furnace with a high temperature, usually over 1500 celcius. The purpose of heating is to make the material both mix and robust. After the mixture are cooled down, we can form them into two major kind of glass, plate glass and bottle glass. Plate glass is formed by pressed the mixture onto a flat moulds. The mould machine is move up and down, while the mixture is placed on the roller that move below it. While bottle glass is made by filling the mixture onto a bottle-shape moulds. The air is needed in this proccess to expand the mixture becomes the shape and the size we want. Finally, the glass are smoothed and colored.
