The Process of Making Glass

Making glass requires some certain steps. First the materials, sand, soda, limestone, must be mixed and turned into powder. Then, put these materials into a calcining furnace. These materials will be heated and melted at 1700°C. While being melted, these materials have to be frequently stirred. The materials that are taken put from this step are called frit. To transform it into glass, frit must be put into a vitrifying pot. To make a plate glass, frit will be sent into rollers to be pressed. Meanwhile, to make a bottle glass, frit will be sent to a removable mould. After that, this molten glass will be blown by air which will hardened the glass. In the end, all these glass products will be smoothened and decorated according to the demand.
